This insightful and inspiring book is a page-turner. I read it in two days. The storyline jumps around in the most delightful way, drawing you in, as the author diagrams her background and underlines how that influences all of the decisions that she makes. Throughout the story, the emotions that she draws out of you ranges from pity for her naivety, to anger towards her abuser, to sympathy, as well as inspiration from her persistence and accomplishments, and finally to triumph and a sense of sisterhood because she is able to make you feel as if you actually know her. A wonderful, easy read. The only way it could have been better is if I were on the beach reading it!! I will be recommending this to all the readers that I know!
